Convergence Spoilers 5: Support

Hi all, this will be my last post until thursday, because after this one I have gathered all information currently known about Convergence models as far as I know! This post will summarize two of Will Shick's Insiders, but I'll try to be short. I will handle each Insider separately.

1. The Servitors

No it are not the 40k ones, these Servitors are [...] autonomous clockwork constructs designed to fulfill a single battlefield role [...] and they float and they are round. This means they have pathfinder, so difficult terrain won't hinder them. They will also be really cheap. Without further ado, let's get to them.

• Accretion Servitors
• First, accretion means: "Growth or increase in size by gradual external addition, fusion, or inclusion" (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/accretion).
• These are the ones that float around the battlefield and repair broken stuff. They have the bodge ability, and we already know that that allows to repair Repairable models. So your Reciprocators just got a whole lot tougher! They also have an ability called Strip, which let them do 1 point of damage to the column of your choice of an enemy warjack. And you can take a lot of them. I assume they will be 1 point for 2, but I guess they will die like flies.

• Elimination Servitors
• These little buggers shoot a Puncture weapon, making them the perfect choice for dealing with High ARM, 1 health troops. They also look mean.

 

• Attunement Servitors
• they shoot flares (enemies hit suffer -2 DEF) and it has a 4" AoE, meaning it'll be hard to miss, especially when you are close (as the template can only deviate a max distance equal to half your distance to the target).

• Reflex Servitors
• Their name is probably the least cool when you compare it to the other servitors, until you realise you can give this servitor the moniker 'The Bomb'. Their weapon has an ability called 'Detonation': you sacrifice the model and replace it with a 4" AoE with POW 14. And it has Counter Charge. To help it survive the tides of battle, it also has an ability Dig In, making it immune to blast damage and granting it additional DEF.

2. the Optifex

This Insider is all about living warrior models who serve the Goddess Cyriss by providing technical expertise to the armies of the Convergence. From the Insider: [...] The Optifex are peerless engineers and mechanics that serve vital roles on and off the battlefield [...].

There are two flavors of the Optifex known right now, The Optifex Directive and the Algorithmic Dispersion Optifex.

• Optifex Directive
• A three-man unit that repairs constructs and repairable models. It has repair[8]. It can grant Magical Weapon or Pathfinder to friendly faction constructs. They also have Iron Sentinel. No picture of them yet.
• Algorithmic Dispersion Optifex
• Sort of an Arc Node. When he is within 5" of a vector Warcasters can channel spells through him. He costs 1 point and you can take 4 of them, but they are very squishy - keep them away from the fight unless it is worth it. They too have Iron Sentinel.
